As we begin the first letter to the church in Thessalonica, Paul describes how faith, love, and hope can change the world.
1 Thessalonians 2
Paul defends his ministry in Thessalonica, describing his care for the flock and his consistency in preaching the word of God.
1 Thessalonians 3
Paul is pleased to find that even in his absence the Thessalonians are standing fast in their faith of Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4
Paul explains that God’s will for the believer is to live a sanctified life, set apart for His purposes. He then gives a short description of the coming Rapture.
1 Thessalonians 5
As he concludes his letter, Paul describes some of the characteristics of the Day of the Lord. Since believers know this could happen any time, we need to act like those who are prepared for and anticipating the Lord’s return.
