We need to get away from just calling on God for the issues of life that are beyond our abilities. Let’s face it, God can even handle the simple stuff better than us.
Luke 2
As in many areas of life, we can become so familiar with the Holy Spirit’s presence that we begin to take Him for granted. This video challenges us to be amazed each day with God’s presence and His mission for our lives.

Instead of trying to act correctly in order to please God, we should surrender our lives so that our actions are a reflection of who we are in Christ.

Jesus wasn’t respected in His hometown of Nazareth because the people couldn’t get over the fact that they’d known Him all His life. So don’t be surprised if you don’t get a lot of respect from those closest to you when you share your faith with them.

Jesus didn’t conduct Himself in the way the leaders of Israel thought He should. His followers may seem out of step with the majority in our time…and that’s totally OK.

In order to tap into the power available to the believer, we have got to spend more time in prayer. It worked for Jesus, and it will work for us.

There’s a tendency for followers of Christ to experience a cooling off of their passion for their salvation as they grow older. This is likely caused by the fact that they’ve begun to lose an appreciation for what Jesus did for them. This is an encouragement to remember Jesus’ saving power and our absolute inability to save ourselves.

God gave us our families, and He expects us to love them. We just need to make sure we don’t end up putting them ahead of God.

Unlike the first believers, we have the completed Scripture and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to keep us on track with Jesus’ will for our lives.

We can become so busy “doing church” that we forget to share Jesus with the people in our very own neighborhoods. A challenge to evangelize those who live closest to us.
Luke 11
Even though Jesus gave us a model for prayer, He didn’t expect us to just blindly recite it. Our prayer life must be vibrant, personal, persistent, and consistent.
Luke 12
People tend to worry about everything from money to health to relationships. The sooner we realize that God has it all under control, the sooner we can stop worrying and turn all of it over to Him.
Luke 13
We only have so much time on this earth to be productive for Jesus Christ, so we need to make the very best of it. One aspect of that is to help those who don’t believe in Jesus to realize that they have a very short window of opportunity to accept Him.
Luke 14
Jesus’ pattern for our lives is for us to humble ourselves on earth, not being concerned with receiving preferential treatment from others. Those who follow this model will be exalted by Him in glory.
Luke 15
The joy of heaven and the thrill of the believer’s heart should be in one accord: seeing as many come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord as is possible.
Luke 16
We’ve been given the monetary resources and possessions we have so that we can use them to further Christ’s kingdom while we’re still on earth. How we do with these will determine how much of heaven’s riches the Lord will entrust to us.
Luke 17
Followers of Christ need to remember that God saved us by His grace, not because of anything we’ve done. Our service to Christ is a privilege.

God honors our the prayers of His children when they are persistent and humble and make God and His kingdom their priority.

When it comes to dealing with the Zacchaeus’ of your life you need to be the tree and lift them up so they can see Jesus.
Luke 20
If anyone could have ever relied on His own opinion, it would be Jesus. Yet even Jesus used Scripture to defend His position. Shouldn’t we do the same?
Luke 21
Jesus tells His disciples to not be too prepared when giving a defense for their faith. This is a good directive for us today. Know the Scriptures and your testimony, but be flexible as you share your faith.
Luke 22
Satan would like nothing better than for you decide that you’d blown it so badly you couldn’t be of any further use to God. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
Luke 23
Believe it or not, God used the testimony of Pontius Pilate and King Herod to give further proof that Jesus didn’t do anything deserving death on the cross.
Luke 24
Jesus demonstrated after He was resurrected that knowledge of the Old Testament is crucial to understanding Him and His mission.
